Getting here from Haymarket

On foot: from Paddy’s Markets or the Dixon Street end of Chinatown, walk north along George Street past World Square, Town Hall and the QVB, then turn left into Market Street. Cross York and Clarence Streets; number 22 is in the block near Kent Street, about 12 minutes from Hay Street. From Darling Square, head up Harbour Street and Sussex Street instead and turn right into Market Street; the clinic is on the right.

By light rail: board the L2 or L3 at the Haymarket or Chinatown stop on George Street. The QVB stop is three stops on, right on Market Street, and the clinic is a 4-minute walk west from there.

Inside, take the lift to Level 14 and look for Suite 1405. On a first visit, arrive 10 minutes early for the intake form.

Best times to book if you’re in Haymarket

Hospitality hours are not office hours, and ours are long: 7am to 7pm on weekdays. A late morning or mid-afternoon appointment fits between a lunch and a dinner service, and a 7am slot suits anyone finishing an early shift at the markets. Retail staff at Market City and around Pitt Street can fit a 45-minute follow-up into a lunch break with the light rail each way. Saturday mornings run 9am to 12pm; Sunday we are closed.

What people from Haymarket usually come in for

Chefs, baristas and retail staff spend long days on their feet, often leaning over benches: lower back and neck tension, tight calves and feet, and forearm and wrist pain from repetitive work. We treat these with remedial massage, dry needling and cupping, with a few stretches that fit into a break. See back pain, neck pain and elbow and wrist pain.

Students and gym members from Darling Square come in for sports massage and recovery sessions between training, and for headaches that start in the neck after long study sessions. See headaches and migraines.

Every visit starts with an assessment and the mix of techniques is chosen from there. Work clothes are fine because we use towel draping; shorts or a loose top help for needling or exercise work.
